| Team Visit Amstelveen

Looking for a cultural outdoor trip? Amstelveen is full of hidden stories, surprising artworks, and special spots you might otherwise pass by. With these art and culture routes, you’ll discover the city from a new perspective or even in a different season.

Outdoor Art Walking Route

You’ve probably biked past one of the public sculptures without giving it much thought, or without knowing who created them and what they represent.

This route takes you past several artworks in the city center and the Old Village. From the peat carrier right in front of the old station, to the little pig in the Stadshart where generations of children have taken a ride, to Monsieur Hulot, who is more popular with the birds than with people.

Historical Routes

Nothing says Dutch culture like cycling. So, want to double your dose of culture? The best way is from the saddle. Hop on your bike and get to know the history of Amstelveen. The historical routes guide you past artworks, monuments, and historic buildings.

The association Museum without Walls has created several routes to map out and to quite literally put the history of Amstelveen on the map. Across different locations in the city, you’ll find panels, each offering a short history lesson.
