SUNDAY is a floating pavilion on the Poel lake in Amstelveen, with a glasshouse restaurant and a sunny terrace on the water. Its motto says it all: at SUNDAY, every day is the weekend. You can drop by every day, from breakfast and lunch to drinks and dinner.
From breakfast bowl to sharing dishes
At SUNDAY you start the day with a breakfast or smoothie bowl and a cappuccino. For lunch there are salads, sandwiches on multigrain sourdough or pinsa, and a soup of the day that is always vegetarian. All day long you can order from the Sunday Shared menu, with small plates to share such as gyoza, karaage and cauliflower tempura. A firm favourite with coffee is the Amsterdamse Bos bol, a pastry with a different cream filling every week.

On tap at SUNDAY you will find Poel Pils and beers from Amstelveen's own Naeckte Brouwers, alongside cocktails and alcohol-free mocktails. Children at SUNDAY order from their own menu, with pinsa and pancakes among the options.
Sustainable on the water
SUNDAY is built from 75 percent recycled material: the floors and the bar are made entirely from it. Solar panels on the glasshouse roof power the heat pumps that keep it warm. The coffee is roasted in Amstelveen and the cakes come from a local Amstelveen bakery.
Groups by the water
Groups can come to SUNDAY for drinks, lunch or dinner, and from ten guests the chef puts the menu together. For parties of 25 to 60 people, SUNDAY has its own outdoor kitchen on the terrace.
