The Stories We Tell
From Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026, Ateliers2005 in Amstelveen will host The Stories We Tell, a three-day art exhibition bringing together different artistic disciplines and personal stories.
The Stories We Tell explores the stories people carry with them and the different ways in which these stories are told, visualised and shared. Each artist brings a personal perspective shaped by their own background, experiences and visual language.
The exhibition presents work by Nerses Djaladian (drawings and paintings), Jerome Bech (paintings and sculptures) and Verlissia van der Vloot (paintings and poetry).
On Friday 11 September and Sunday 13 September, the focus is on the exhibition itself, featuring paintings, drawings, sculptures and poetry. Saturday 12 September forms the special centrepiece of the weekend. The official opening takes place from 15.00 to 19.00, when the exhibition is expanded with live visuals and a music performance.

From 19.00 onwards, the live programme continues with visuals by duo Fur The Burds with Present Tense (Live), followed by an electro-acoustic music performance by Otto Vekyan and guests (Live).

With this project, the artists aim not only to present their work, but also to create an accessible meeting place where art, stories and people come together. Everyone curious about contemporary art is welcome.
