Mirror Storytellers

mirroRE (Mirror REflection REimaging) is a studio founded by artists Peyman Gerami and Azade Baloochi, based at Ateliers2005 in Amstelveen. The practice focuses on upcycling used and discarded mirrors by introducing traditional Iranian mirror craftsmanship, transforming them into lasting mirror artworks and interior surfaces. Fragmentation and brokenness are not concealed but reimagined as enduring beauty.

During the mirroRE Studio Visit, visitors are invited to experience this creative process up close. Mirrors reveal how they carry stories and reflect the light of the past. The visit is complemented by a tasting of traditional Iranian ash soup, bringing together art, craftsmanship and culinary heritage
