The story behind Martha de Groot
Martha de Groot, a forward-thinking woman, opened a shop and gallery under her own name in Amstelveen in 1959. Back then the collection consisted of applied arts and crafts, such as seed necklaces, pottery, paintings and hand-woven fabrics. Shops followed on Plein 1960, now Stadshart Amstelveen, and in Haarlem and Utrecht. Her two daughters later expanded to Hilversum and Amsterdam.

The Martha de Groot collection features Dutch and mainly European brands and designers. New materials and models are added every season. You’ll find lighting, rugs, throws, home fragrances and styling objects, among other things. Every spring and autumn brings a new collection of artificial flowers, and you can also have a bouquet made to order.
