Hert 64

Hert 64 is a tapas restaurant on the Dorpsstraat in Amstelveen's Oude Dorp, where Spanish and Mediterranean dishes meet wine and cocktails. At Hert 64 it is all about an evening out: a romantic dinner for two, a business meal or a long, relaxed dinner with friends.

The building of Hert 64 has a long hospitality history. In the early twentieth century it housed an inn with a stable, where travellers left their horse and cart, and later the café Het Dorstige Hert. Inside Hert 64 you will spot nods to that past in the interior.

Tapas to share
The menu at Hert 64 is made up of small dishes to share. Start with pan con tomate in four flavours or homemade focaccia, then move on to pimientos de padrón, patatas bravas or gambas al ajillo. Feeling adventurous? Go for the grilled octopus, tacos with pulled pork cooked for six hours, or sisig de atún: seared tuna that arrives sizzling on a hot plate. For dessert there is a burnt Basque cheesecake and a pistachio tiramisu, among others.

Comfortable dining
Hert 64 is an evening restaurant and is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet and air conditioning, so you stay comfortable indoors even on warm summer evenings. Vegetarian dishes are clearly marked on the Hert 64 menu.
