Come and discover the beauty of Japanese traditional dance in a workshop led by Master Senyumeji Niishikawa, the head of the Nishikawa School of Japanese Dance. Japanese dance is all about expressing emotions, moving gracefully, and staying flexible.

About the master, Senyumeji Nishikawa
Head Family Nishikawa School. Entered the Head Family Nishikawa School at the age of 6.

Received the name of successor at 13, and became a master at 21. Graduated from the Japanese Dance Course at the Faculty of Arts, Nihon University, and moved to Germany in 2005.

About the master, Senyumeji Nishikawa
Head Family Nishikawa School. Entered the Head Family Nishikawa School at the age of 6.

Received the name of successor at 13, and became a master at 21. Graduated from the Japanese Dance Course at the Faculty of Arts, Nihon University, and moved to Germany in 2005.

Started Japanese dance and kimono dressing classes in Frankfurt since 2015. Actively performing in the Vatican, London, Amsterdam, and across Europe, spreading Japanese traditional culture.

Yukata rental 

  • Yukata rental & fitting service: €5 (up to approximately 170cm in height). Please note that there are a limited number of yukatas available on a first come first serve basis.
  • Bring a yukata and wear it for free.

Special performance at the Japan Festival
Yumeji Nishikawa will also be presenting her dancing at the Japan Festival on June 30th.
