AmstelveenBeach
AmstelveenBeach returns from 12 to 22 June and is moving to a new location this year: Handelsplein in Amstelveen. Due to renovations at Stadsplein, the square will temporarily be transformed into a sporty meeting place where beach sports, urban sports, and casual play come together.
What’s new this year?
In addition to the familiar beach volleyball programme, the event is expanding with Urban Sports, such as:
- 3×3 basketball
- freerunning
- BMX
- street soccer
- ultimate frisbee
Beach volleyball tournaments
The regular tournaments remain an important part of the programme:
- Hospitality Beach Volleyball Tournament – 15 June
- Company Beach Volleyball Tournament – 16 June
- Teachers Beach Volleyball Tournament – 17 June
- VrijMiBeach 4×4 – 12 and 19 June (with fun and pro pools)
Additional sports and open participation
There will also be extra attention for beach handball and beach rugby, with opportunities for visitors to try them out.

As always, there is plenty of space for free play. You can step into the sand without registration to play a match or simply stay active in your own way.
In short: a broad, accessible sports festival where competition, discovery, and spontaneous participation come together at a new central location in Amstelveen.
