The Music of The Lord of the Rings. Tribute to Howard Shore
Experience the music of The Lord of the Rings films at a concert in the historic Sint-Urbanuskerk in Bovenkerk, one of Amstelveen's most striking landmarks.
The programme centres on the score by Canadian composer Howard Shore, whose work on the trilogy earned him three Academy Awards, two Golden Globes and three Grammy Awards. This performance gives his melodies a fresh interpretation, woven with elven song, traces of ancient folklore and the poetic atmosphere of Middle-earth.
Whether you love the films, Tolkien's books or film music in general, this concert lets you hear these famous themes in the atmospheric setting of a historic church.
