Stapelgek (3+)

The city is under constant construction. Adults want more and more, leaving little space for children to play outside. One of those children, Sjoerd, dreams of becoming an architect one day. Until then, he comes up with a bold and crazy plan.

This performance is completely wordless but packed with (construction) sounds, physical comedy, and funny slapstick. With building blocks and sturdy wooden workers, the players bring Sjoerd’s daring plan to life. The result is an energetic and humorous story about building, perseverance, and never giving up.

The performance is based on the picture book “Sjoerd en de Stapelstad” by Barry Menger and Mats Ganzeman.
