Concerts at Van Kerkwijk Piano’s

    Florin Mantale plays the music of C. Debussy (1862 – 1918) (Suite Bergamasque), S. Rachmaninov (Etude-Tableaux op. 39 no. 1), and J. Brahms (1833 – 1897) (8 Klavierstücke op. 76).

  • Friday evening, June 21, from 7:30 PM: The Amsterdam Piano Club
    This is a group of professional and amateur pianists who traditionally provide us with a classical evening.

  • Saturday morning, June 22, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Nick van den Bos
    Nick van den Bos plays jazz and improvisational music.

    Ruth Thomassen-Djatmiko, a piano teacher in Amsterdam, plays the music of Handel (Suite for a Musical Clock), Bach (6 Kleine Preludes, BWV 933-938), and Sonatas by Haydn (in G, Hoboken XVI:27), Mozart (in F, K 332), & Beethoven (in Fm, op. 2 no.1).

  • Saturday morning, July 6, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Heleen Verleur
    Scarlatti wrote all 555 Sonatas for his pupil Maria Barbara at the Spanish court. Heleen tells the story from Maria Barbara’s perspective and plays the piano. Music and story form a whole. Also fun for children from 10 years old.
