Tim Burton’s Universe by Mystery Ensemble

Welcome to the fantastic worlds of Tim Burton. On October 10 at 8:00 PM, the atmospheric Sint-Urbanuskerk in Bovenkerk, Amstelveen, will host an exceptional concert featuring music from Burton’s iconic films.

From the sparkling wonder of Alice in Wonderland to the festive magic of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and from the poignant lyricism of Edward Scissorhands to the eccentric brilliance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: the concert takes audiences on a journey through the soundscapes that have shaped Burton’s unique cinematic universe.

Music by Danny Elfman

At the heart of the concert is the music of Danny Elfman, Burton’s lifelong collaborator and one of the most distinctive film composers of our time. Elfman’s compositions blend playfulness with menace, tenderness with grandeur, perfectly reflecting Burton’s visual imagination.

Alongside Elfman’s best-known works, the concert features unforgettable moments from Corpse Bride, the cult favorite Beetlejuice, the gothic weight of Batman, and the razor-sharp drama of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
