Former city poet Koos Hagen wrote a special new text to the melody of the well-known song ‘Het Dorp’, inspired by Keizer Karelpark. The song will be performed by baritone Ronald Willemsen.
In addition, the Vereniging Historisch Amstelveen has created a special anniversary publication about the history of the neighborhood. Visitors will also be able to watch a film about the origins and development of Keizer Karelpark, compiled by the association.
After the event, guests can enjoy drinks accompanied by music from the 1920s, reflecting the era in which the neighborhood was founded.
