Exhibition: The Most Beautiful Sports Artwork

From Saturday, August 30 to Tuesday, September 30, 2025, KunstLokaal SAKB presents the exhibition The Most Beautiful Sports Artwork in its corridors.

The exhibition originates from a collaboration between AmstelveenSport and KunstLokaal SAKB. For the new swimming pool building De Meerkamp, students and friends of KunstLokaal SAKB were invited to submit a two-dimensional artwork on the theme sport. A total of 29 artworks were submitted. From these, the jury selected 12 pieces, which are displayed in the entrance hall of De Meerkamp until September 14. Visitors can vote for their favorite artwork via the AmstelveenSport website, while a professional jury will select a second winner.

The remaining artworks will be exhibited throughout September in the corridors of KunstLokaal SAKB. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of sports-themed works, including oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, drawings, and collages – each offering a unique and personal vision of sport.
