Vis aan de Amstel
On 25 July 2026 from 12:00 PM, the Amstelzijde will host Vis aan de Amstel, a festive event celebrating seafood, hospitality and the unique atmosphere of the River Amstel.
- SAAM Restaurant will serve herring, bites and sparkling drinks from an outdoor stand. A traditional Dutch sea shanty choir is also expected to perform.
- At Paardenburg, visitors can enjoy a pot of mussels while a boat cruises along the river.
- Ron Gastrobar will smoke fresh eel in front of the restaurant, offering visitors a taste of this Dutch specialty.
- Heisa provides a bouncy castle for children and serves fresh oysters.
- Loetje offers shrimp croquettes, festive decorations with flags and operates the ferry service between Ouderkerk village and the Amstelzijde.
