The Young Amstelveen Awards & Gala 2026

In 2026, the first edition of the Young Amstelveen Awards & Gala will take place: a new platform for young people aged 15 to 30 from Amstelveen who stand out through their social commitment, entrepreneurship, innovation or personal development.

The Young Amstelveen Awards create a dedicated platform where young people are placed centre stage and recognised for their impact and potential.

The initiative is about more than simply handing out awards. Its main goal is to:

• put young people in the spotlight;
• connect them with one another;
• give them access to new networks and opportunities.

During the first edition, young people from Amstelveen will be recognised in three categories:

• Social impact
• Entrepreneurship & innovation
• Inspiration & perseverance

The awards will be based on an open nomination process, public involvement and a professional jury. The programme will culminate in the festive Young Amstelveen Awards & Gala in Amstelveen.

Recognition and trust can play an important role in personal development at a young age. The Young Amstelveen Awards therefore aim to go beyond an award itself. It is about what recognition can open up: opportunities, connections and growth.

The organisation is deliberately taking a phased approach:

• Spring 2026: nomination campaign launches
• Summer 2026: voting phase and selection
• December 2026: gala and awards ceremony

The first campaign will launch soon, with young people, partners and organisations from Amstelveen actively involved in the initiative.
