Amstelveen On Wheels

This year, Amstelveen On Wheels takes place at a new location: the Old Village in Amstelveen. Start, finish and registration are in the Dorpsstraat. The event is free and open to everyone, with activities for the whole family.

For children up to 12 years old there is the Fat Tire Race: small races on their own bikes with thick tires (city bike, no racing bike, e-bike or fat bike). All participants receive a t-shirt and medal. Participation is free, but registration is required via a special link. The course is closed off, with traffic controllers, spectators and fans creating a real race atmosphere. Helmets are mandatory; children’s helmets are available to borrow.

In addition, there are continuous activities for all ages, such as:

• Fun biking on special and crazy bikes

• Preliminary round of the Dutch Championship Slow Biking (who cycles 7 meters the slowest?)

• Rollerblading laps and clinics with the Poelster

• Tandem biking with Stichting Fietsmaatjes

• Wheelchair obstacle course by Wheelchair Skillteam

• Smoothie bikes by JOGG: cycle your own smoothie

The program runs from 11:00 to 16:00 and includes balance bike races, scooter races, wheelchair races and multiple sessions of the Fat Tire Race.
