Global Ragas proudly presents Spandan Series 2

GLOBAL RAGAS - THE INDIAN MUSIC SCHOOL OF AMSTERDAM proudly presents Spandan Series-2 in collaboration with the world flute maestro Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia.

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia ji is one of the most respected masters of Indian music. He has trained students at WMDC Rotterdam for several decades. He was also the Artistic Director of the Department of Indian Classical Music in the Netherlands from the 1990s. In 2008, he received the Royal Honor from the Queen of the Netherlands. He has received tremendous love and respect from students in and around the Netherlands.

The programme will feature the students of Global Ragas in the first half. The second half will be led by the Maestro himself with Niti Ranjan Biswas on Tabla. Jean Christophe Bonafus & Juka will be on the Indian Flute Bansuri.

The Global Ragas School of Music organises Annual Concerts which gives students an opportunity to perform in the presence of renowned musicians and teacher Chetna Sehgal herself. These concerts are a good platform for everyone to grow and perform music. The aim of the school is to support the musical aspirations of talented artists/students by enhancing their talents in a polished manner. Their vision is to make Indian classical music accessible beyond the boundaries of culture, relation or geography. The school has students from all walks of life. They have done programs in the past that have resulted in hundreds of success stories.
