As human beings we feel the need to bend nature to our will; every little bed and park in the Netherlands has been designed by man. The work Buitenspel has been too: thousands of daisies have been sown by human hands to precisely mark the football field on the Belcampoplantsoen. But, this also immediately reverses the roles; the daisies have become the referee and set the framework for the game. Nature is once again ruler and flowers determine where football players are allowed to stand, run and score.
