Vrije Vogels | Liesbet Bussche
The life-size silhouettes in Vrije Vogels include the spotted woodpecker, grey heron, raven, kingfisher and crow: all birds that fly around in the Amsterdamse Bos. Together they temporarily settle on the edge of the forest, where the landscaped greenery abruptly changes into concrete. In their beaks and claws, the birds hold a chain of links that they lay down on this boundary between their natural habitat and the urban environment where humans live.
